Karida Collins of Neighborhood Fiber Co and I partnered to create a special color this Mother’s Day. The color is named Bentalou (pronounced Bent-LOW) after the street Karida’s mom grew up on in West Baltimore. It was the color of her mother’s wedding dress, and it is Karida’s gift to her mom. She’s dyed it up on her Studio Sock for our special Mother’s Day Gift Box. Each skein is 100% superwash Merino, 8 plies and 400 yards.
Custom needle gauge:
This rocket shaped knitting needle gauge’s precise holes are laser cut from hardwood, perfect for measuring knitting needles from sizes 0 to 15. Both the US sizes and metric measurement are clearly etched above and below each hole to ensure it is universal for every knitter.
Handcrafted chocolates:
Did you know that one of our closest neighbors is Fleurir Chocolates? They are just a block away at 110 S. Payne Street and their artisan chocolate are phenomenal. Every year they do a super special Mother’s Day truffle box with some limited edition flavors. For our Mother’s Day gift box, he’s created a smaller four piece box with one of each of their High Tea Truffles (Earl Grey, Honey Chai, and Cafe Latte) and their famous salted caramel. The High Tea Truffles, inspired by various tea-time drinks, are made up of a caramel cap placed over a shortbread praline.
