The striking ombre colors of Freia Yarns have long been a favorite here in space. We are excited to welcome a new luxury base! Freia Yarns Merino/Silk Fingering yarn is perfect for spring and summer knitting (and isn’t available at very many shops). These fingering weight gradient cakes feature a custom base of US Merino and Mulberry Silk. Her gorgeous signature colorways are deeply saturated, and the silk content adds a slight sheen. This 3-ply fingering weight is perfect for accessories, as it is strong and doesn’t pill easily. As always, Friea Yarns uses yarn that mulesing-free, so it is not only great to stitch with, it is good for the sheep, too. We have a large selection of colors in stock, from bold and brilliant to soft and subtle.
Yarn Details:

Project Ideas
Designed to show off the beautiful gradient colors of Freia, this textural cowl by our local designer will have gorgeous drape in the new Merino/Silk fingering base. Grab two skeins of your favorite colorway to make this all-season wardrobe accent.
Tina, the color genius of Freia herself, knit this new design in two contrasting gradients, and the result is just stunning. She also managed to get an extra round of the ‘lips.’ You can see more details on her Ravelry project page.
Designed to take advantage of every inch of the subtle color transitions of one skein of Freia Merino Silk, this lacy cowl features a repetitive stitch pattern. A perfectly elegant spring accessory!
For a sophisticated version of this lightweight sweater, use one gradient skein for each sleeve. When paired with a solid of Kelbourne Woolens Perennial, the effect will be striking!
