Here for Spring: Silky Hand-Dyed Celilo from Sea Change Fibers

We love Portland, Oregon’s Sea Change Fibers for their vibrant hand-dyed colors and climate-responsible, ethically sourced yarn bases. Dyer Sarah Pederson‘s colorful creations are inspired by her love of the Pacific Northwest coast and her ongoing commitment to sustainability, climate health, and social justice.

We’re excited to welcome back one of Sarah’s gorgeous silk-blend yarns for spring and summer: Celilo Merino Silk Fingering!

Celilo Merino Silk Fingering

A flat lay arrangement of hand-dyed yarn skeins organized in a diagonal gradient on a vibrant pink surface, ranging from deep rust and ochre shades to forest greens, teals, and soft lilacs.

Named in honor of the historic indigenous community of Celilo Falls, Celilo Merino Silk Fingering is a shimmering blend of ethically-sourced Eri silk and organic Merino wool, spun with a 4-ply twist for a round and balanced yarn with stellar stitch definition and durability. Hand dyed in glowing tonal shades, Celilo’s next-to-skin softness and silky drape shine in summery garments, shawls, and more (we love it for lace!).
