Miss Babs Pop Up 2021 preview: Yummy 2-Ply

We are super excited to host Miss Babs and her yarns for an amazing Pop Up event outside in our tents from Sept 24-26. Today we are featuring one of the yarns that you can shop during this event, as well as the newest pattern samples that will be on display at the event.

Yummy 2-ply

This versatile, 2-ply superwash Merino is wonderful for cowls, scarves, shawls, and lightweight sweaters.

Size: 400 yd / 3.9 oz (365m / 110g) skeins
Content: 100% superwash Merino wool
Gauge: Fingering weight. 7-9 stitches per inch on US 0-2.
Care Instructions: Machine wash gentle. This yarn should be dried flat for best results.

Velvetine Lines by Jennifer Dassau

Velvitine Lines uses garter striped fabric to interpret the wales of corduroy, and is perfect for two saturated jewel colors in lighter and darker tones that mimic the shading created by the nap of velveteen. Pick shades of your favorite color, or take your shawl in another direction and pair two contrasting colors for a different, bold effect.

Size: 65”/162.5cm length and 36”/90cm depth, customizable.

  • 4 skeins of Miss Babs Yummy 2-ply (2 skeins each of 2 colors)
  • US6 (4mm) 32″ circular needle
  • stitch marker

 

XOXO Colorwork Snood by Michael Harrigan

This design features traditional Fair Isle XO motifs and Sanquhar patterning worked in two colorways. The snood is designed to be tall enough to function not only as a cowl but also as a head covering.

Bantam by Deanne Ramsay

Bantam is a crocheted parallelogram shaped wrap designed specifically for mini sets. Stripes, chevron lace and fast moving color changes will keep you engaged, while easy shaping allows you to relax and enjoy the color-play.

Sizes (after blocking):
The length measurements listed are measured along the side edge, however the overall length of your Bantam will be longer due to the angled tips.
