Brooklyn Tweed is at it again!
Hot on the heels of last month’s Wool People comes BT Winter 13, a collection of cozy cold-weather knits designed by Jared Flood, Veronik Avery, Julie Hoover, and Michele Wang.
18 new patterns knitted in Loft and Shelter make up three style stories – Timeless Colorwork, a modern look at traditional knitting; Tone on Tone, relaxed pieces in soothing neutral shades; and Winter Classics, an assortment of color and texture to warm up snowy days. (See the whole lookbook here.)
Some of our favorite designs:
Grettir, pictured on the cover, has a colorwork yoke inspired by traditional Icelandic lopapeysa sweaters. There’s a version for both women and men – and with all of the colors of Shelter to choose from you could knit a different sweater for everyone you know!
The Kimmswick scarf uses 6 colors of Loft and is knit in the round – a great project for those of us that love colorwork!
The Guernsey Triangle uses beautifully textured stitches and comes in two sizes – you’ll need 2 skeins of Loft for the kerchief or 3 for the shawl.
Hellebore is a simple raglan pullover with amazing cabled sleeves. Simply gorgeous.
The Stowe cardigan is knit in Shelter in a cozy waffle rib and can be worn two different ways for different looks.
Cypress is another great textured piece that can carry you through to spring – you’ll need between 5 and 9 skeins of Shelter to knit it up.
These are just a few of the patterns to choose from – which are your favorites?
Stop by the shop in the next week or two to grab the paper copies of these patterns, which haven’t quite arrived yet but are expected very very soon!
