I am so sorry that it has taken me this long to post about my Sweater Babe sweater..it has been done, in truth, for about two weeks. I was pretty excited to be able to wear it to the Glam Knits workshop over the weekend. I admit that I stole the buttons from another sweater in my closet that I haven’t worn in quite some time…hey, when you gotta wear something, you do desperate things.
This was done in Fibre Company Terra, color beet. It has set in sleeves and lace panel accents, and we think it might be the next Ravelry craze (or at least I am going to try to make it the next craze). It will be an ongoing workshop style class in the winter, so start thinking about your project yarn now! The requirements are here. Something cotton would make a great spring sweater or you could stick with a warmer fiber and enjoy it before the weather turns completely warm in April. I am thinking the Second or Third Saturday of each month for three months, to allow plenty of knitting time. The class will focus on what to do when the pattern says “decrease on each side” and how to seam together shoulders, set in sleeves and seam the fronts to the back. The schedule is in the works now, and this is just one of several wonderful sweater projects in the line up. I am shooting for a late November launch date for the January – March schedule.
