I’ve promised to be as transparent as possible about how tariffs are impacting our pricing here at the shop so I wanted to provide an update. The short answer is that we are doing our best to respond quickly as new information becomes available. The long(er) answer is that as a retailer, the constant, ever changing landscape of tariffs have made making inventory decisions quite difficult for retailers all across the country, us included. Many of us are owed thousands from our importers of record (places like FedEx, UPS, DHL) on tariffs we’ve already paid that were struck down by the courts. We have worked hard to pivot our inventory so that we can adjust prices quickly and make sure we’re offering you the amazing selection you’ve come to know us for. Thanks for continuing to be understanding with me and the staff as we navigate these sometimes daily changes. I am very much looking forward to a day when I no longer have to cosplay as a tariff expert in order to sell my string.
