Learn to spin yarn on a drop spindle. Find out why hand spun yarn is so special and learn how to make your own yarn! Within three weeks you will be spinning and plying your own yarn on an ancient, yet portable form of spinning tool – the drop spindle. You will learn to make yarn suitable for knitting, crochet, weaving, or any fibre craft.
Three 1.5 hour classes

Materials:
- top whorl spindle (70mm 1.25 oz or 1 oz is recommended)
- clean wool spinning fibre (Bluefaced Leicester or BFL) or Corriedale top are recommended. Other medium-fine fibers (ex. Polwarth, Romney) would be OK. Merino is finer and has a shorter staple, so it is not recommended for starting.)
