Materials:
*Scarf measures 86” long (from longest tip to another), 4″ wide or 8″ wide (once pleated). Sample shown in photos is a narrow version with one blunt end and one sharp end.
- 720 (1140) yards of any heavy fingering or sport weight yarn
- US#5 (3.75 mm) or use needle size to obtain gauge
- Square or dot grid notebook, pen/pencil
- Stitch markers
- Purchase and print and bring to class the Issey Scarf pattern
Homework:
Make a swatch to obtain gauge, do not cut the yarn of the swatch from the ball. Bring swatch to class.
Gauge is 24 sts and 38 rows in 4”/10cm over washed and blocked St st swatch measured once dry.
