Join Susan B. Anderson in this brand new workshop that explores bottom-up seamless toy knitting!
Little Owl is a simple and fun bottom-up seamless toy that will be worked on during class. The toy is a skill-building exercise. During class we will discuss and have demonstrations about toy knitting techniques including face embroidery, stuffing and gauge tips, care and washing tips for knit toys, and all sorts of little tips and tricks. Susan will cover Kitchener stitch with a clever tip for memorizing, several different ways to pick up stitches and knit directly onto toys so they become seamless, and many more finishing and toy-techniques.
Skills needed:
Knitting in the round on a small number of stitches on double-pointed needles.
Materials needed:
Finished measurement: 4 ½ inches tall
*Gauge: 6 stitches per inch in stockinette stitch
**Susan will provide the white felt for the eyes!
