Learn to Knit FOR FREE during Government Shutdown

Learn to Knit FOR FREE during Government Shutdown

Impacted by the shutdown? Find comfort in knitting. Come on out to fibre space at either 1 pm or 3 pm any workday (Mon-Fri)  that the government is closed and learn to cast on and knit with one of our fab instructors. Each class session is about 1.5-2 hours.

Basic materials are as low as $5 for needles and $10 for yarn, should you need them.  The instruction is free and the community is priceless!

*Please bring government ID or contractor ID.

Intro to knitting classes are normally $75, now free during these times for those impacted by shutdown.

UPDATE – instruction takes about an hour to 1.5 hours. The 1 pm time slot is quite packed, so we recommend coming at 3 or 4 pm.

If you want to help out our contractors and government employees, check out the kits that can be purchased and donated.
