Must Make Monday: Sunday Morning Sweater in WoolDreamers La Rinconada

The chill of fall has definitely settled in over Alexandria this past week. Mornings and evenings are crisp, and the leaves are turning. It’s definitively sweater weather. Enter the Sunday Morning Sweater!

This size-inclusive (up to 65 inches!), gender-inclusive sweater checks all the boxes. It’s top down with raglan shaping. It can be worn with as much or as little ease as the wearer likes. It has an all-over textured stitch that invokes the delightfully nostalgic look of a thermal shirt. The stitch also keeps the knitting interesting as you get past the short rows and sleeve increases, without being so complex that you’ll need to constantly reference the pattern. A perfect project for those crisp weekend mornings where you’re not quite ready for a jacket but its too cold to go without.

We think our newest yarn from WoolDreamers, La Rinconada, will create the perfect base for the Sunday Morning Sweater. La Rinconada is spun from a flock of black and white Merino sheep. The color variation creates a unique depth of color, which will accentuate the waffle texture of the sweater. The softness of the 100% Merino wool will make this a garment you reach for again and again.

You can shop La Rinconada in our ALX shop and on our capsule!
