Just Landed: Pascuali Suave

Just Landed: Pascuali Suave

We’re excited to welcome Pascuali’s new Suave fingering weight yarn to space! Available in a diverse and vivid color pallet, Suave is topping our list of must-knit spring and summer yarns. The unique yarn isn’t spun as usual – rather, the super soft cotton fibers are held together in a mesh tube. The result is a cotton strand as fluffy and light as cashmere but is completely vegan.

Here in the DC area, we’re always searching for wool-free yarns for our warm-weather knits. If you’re also on the hunt for alternative fibers, Pascuali Suave will pair perfectly with your warm-weather projects! The soft drape Suave offers is perfect for both knit or crochet, and can be used for garments and accessories alike. If you iron your fabric it takes on the usual smooth shine we associate with cottons. If you brush it, it will gain a soft fluffy halo akin to cashmere or mohair.

We also love how Pascuali’s dedication to sustainability, fair trade, animal welfare, and transparency is present in all of their yarns. Suave is a GOTS certified yarn, and is part of Pascauali’s continued efforts to fulfill that mission. Check out the yarnistas’ pattern picks below and start planning your summer projects with Suave!

If you choose a size with less ease at body, a larger size for sleeve with more upper arm circumference can be chosen to avoid the fabric to stick/create bulks at underarm. If you choose a lot of ease at body a smaller size for sleeves can be chosen to get more fitted sleeves.
