Must Make Monday: The Seashell Top

To celebrate the new fingering weight Arctic Pearl, Pascuali just released the Seashell Top pattern. This easy, breezy top will look chic under a cardigan or jacket, paired with pleated trousers, or with slim jeans (yes, they’re coming back!) and a shawl for a night out during the warmer months. However you choose to style it, your Seashell Top will stay soft, smooth, and light against your skin. Arctic Pearl’s fibre, Lyocell (SeaCell) has moisture- and temperature regulating qualities to keep you comfortable.

The design highlights this unique yarn made from seaweed and eucalyptus fibres’ subtle sheen and soft, lightweight feel. The top starts with a narrow ribbed hem, which transitions smoothly into three different stitch patterns as you knit from the bottom up. The resulting fabric is an understated study in texture.

The finished top has a straight, versatile cut that can easily be customized to your preferred length. The top front and back pieces are worked separately in rows, and the pattern finishes with delicate i-cord spaghetti straps. (Not a fan of knitting i-cords?
