We are now opening orders for the third project in the Adventures in Knitting series with local designer Olga Buraya-Kefelian! The fall project is this gorgeous cabled hat designed in Woolfolk Luft. This brand new design will be available first to those who sign up for this club package. Olga will pair this pattern with new skill building videos and hand selected colors of yarn for the project. When you pre-order the season’s kit, you receive access to this pattern before it is launched to the public, access to Olga’s amazing instructional videos and the yarn needed for the project. Oh, and we’ve thrown in a gorgeous cable needle that you will need to complete your project.

The pattern will launch to club members one month early, on December 13th. Your pre-ordered kit will ship or be available for store pick up by December 13th. Look for notification from our shop.

RENREN

“As long as I have lived, and in various climates, I can attest that the winter staple of every personal wardrobe of any age is a classic cabled hat. Having knit and designed my fair share of cabled hats throughout my knitting path, RENREN is the kind of design that pushed me to explore other possibilities beyond traditional cabling techniques. I wanted to achieve higher relief on the surface of this cabled hat by combining several maneuvers to develop this “modular cabling with negative space” technique. By working additional sections in length, giving each cable more room, the fabric produced striking cables that are more dimensional and pliable, while the hat itself remains stretchy and malleable. And combining this cabling method with this particular yarn made it incredibly lightweight yet warm. Implementing 2×2 ribbing for brim with the impeccable cast on technique provides additional comfort while supporting the lattice-shaped framework of the cable patterning. Offered in 2 sizes, this hat will be a wonderful gift for your loved ones!” – Olga Buraya-Kefelian
