Each year, one of our favorite designers, Casapinka, has offered a free pattern for people who support their local yarn shop on LYS Day. Although the official LYS Day this year has been postponed until September 12, she is generously offering her free shawl pattern to those of you who buy a kit from us!
The Breathe and Hope Shawl is an asymmetrical triangle shawl using two colors of fingering weight yarn. The name of the shawl was inspired by her mantra during these unprecedented times. You can choose one solid and one variegated yarn, or two solid shades. Like so many of her stunning shawl designs, Breathe and Hope features graphic elements created by simple stitch combinations. It’s perfect for advanced beginners, as it mostly uses slipped stitches, but engaging enough for advanced knitters. Enjoy the relaxation of simple stitching, and stay engaged as you move from texture to texture.
Our original batch of kits sold out quickly, but we’ve put together some new kits. Each one uses two skeins of either Neighborhood Fiber Co. Studio Sock or Knerdstring MCN, and they are ready to ship immediately. You’ll receive a download code for a free copy of the pattern on Ravelry via email, after your purchase.
Breathe and Hope calls for a US#4 and US#6 circular needle, 24″ or longer. You can also shop for these in our online store.
