New to our shop this Spring is a super-fun multicolored fingering weight yarn by Fully Spun. Dyer and designer Brooke Addams, based here in Northern Virginia, wanted yarn with the look and feel of handspun. After experimenting with a drop spindle, Brooke created these inspired color combos by having her hand-dyed roving spun up in a mill.
From the dyer:
I love the way that my process causes colors to play with each other, and I enjoy creating new color combinations with just the right tones. I am inspired by meeting and connecting with people, then seeing what they create with my yarn. I love that I am able to help people express themselves to the world through color. I find color inspiration in many things. Whether that is a palette I see in my environment, an abstract concept, a song, or a yummy snack. Each of my colorways has a fun story behind it.
I’ve been on a sock-kick (haha) lately, and I’m dying to try a skein of Fully Spun on a fun sock pattern, like the Jaywalker sample we have in shop (check out pattern link below!)
