Introducing Fully Spun, a Local New Favorite!

Introducing Fully Spun, a Local New Favorite!

New to our shop this Spring is a super-fun multicolored fingering weight yarn by Fully Spun. Dyer and designer Brooke Addams, based here in Northern Virginia, wanted yarn with the look and feel of handspun. After experimenting with a drop spindle, Brooke created these inspired color combos by having her hand-dyed roving spun up in a mill.

From the dyer:

I love the way that my process causes colors to play with each other, and I enjoy creating new color combinations with just the right tones. I am inspired by meeting and connecting with people, then seeing what they create with my yarn. I love that I am able to help people express themselves to the world through color. I find color inspiration in many things. Whether that is a palette I see in my environment, an abstract concept, a song, or a yummy snack. Each of my colorways has a fun story behind it.

I’ve been on a sock-kick (haha) lately, and I’m dying to try a skein of Fully Spun on a fun sock pattern, like the Jaywalker sample we have in shop (check out pattern link below!)

Boxy Chevron by Susanne Sommer

This fun, flattering boxy knit is on designer Brooke’s needles right now! The Orion colorway would make an awesome accent for a bold, dark contrast look to a light, bright main color!
