fibre space is excited to introduce nightshades by Harrisville Designs to our DK lineup!! nightshades is truly unique pairing a rich black wool with a hint of color, creating a shadowy blend that will produce a garment unlike any other. It’s a super special woolen-spun American Cormo & wool yarn! This yarn was hot hot hot at New York Sheep and Wool Festival this year, so we are incredibly delighted to now be a stockist for it!
In the words of the dyer:
nightshades was inspired by the deep shadows that dance on your ceiling at night. Sometimes sleeplessness can bring about unexpected inspiration. At HD, we think, live, breathe, and sometimes dream in color ratios. Thus began the journey to create a palette that celebrates the strange beauty of night.
the nightshades collection includes a series of 7 patterns designed by Whitney Hayward that captures the dreamlike qualities of the deep, shadowy color duos to produce wearable yet artful garments that are the perfect compliment to any winter wardrobe.

Onyx Cowl by Whitney Hayward
The dramatic diamond shape of this cowl provides interest to any outfit and makes for warm and cozy wear under a coat. Paired with a bright color, it provides an eye-catching pop of shadow that will update some of your favorite wardrobe staples.
From the designer:
These socks are inspired by the move Before I Go To Sleep, which stars Nicole Kidman and Colin Firth and was designed for Super Sock Scarefest 2017. In the movie, Kidman’s character awakes each morning with no memory of what has happened or who she is. There are notes everywhere to tell her things and she has a video diary. One of her memory aids has a comment of “Don’t Trust Ben.” And Ben is her husband.
The socks use a knit/purl pattern, in Morse Code, to write out “Don’t trust Ben.” The Morse Code key is included for those who wish to incorporate a different message.
Caelum Tunic by Whitney Hayward
This short sleeved, pocketed tunic can be worn solo as shown here, or over a long-sleeved tee. Caelum is breezy comfort at its best and works as a great transition to warmer weather.
