Upcoming Events!
Join us on Monday, January 1st for our annual New Year’s Day Knitalong. We will be knitting VARM out of Woolfolk Hygge to celebrate all that is cozy and wonderful while also making a very quick accessory for the chilly winter weather outside. The only skills required are being able to knit, purl and cable, and we’re happy to teach you the basics of cabling needed for this project in the shop.
Visit the shop to see the entire Bristol Ivy Knitting Outside the Box collection in person now through January 3rd. All patterns are available in her brand-new book, and this is a great chance to see the items in person while picking out the perfect yarn.
Have you ordered a Cricket loom from us but need help getting started? Join us on Saturday, January 6th from 12pm-1pm for a free Build a Loom workshop to help you get set up. Be sure to bring the entire loom box and either a screwdriver or power drill.
Our dear friend Olga Buraya-Kefelian will be teaching a slew of workshops this winter here in space! If you’re interested in learning more about brioche, check out the Colorful Brioche workshop on Sunday, January 21st and the Brioche and Beyond (Armwarmers) workshop on Friday, January 26th. For the most unique shawl, try the Three Dimensional Shawl Workshop on Sunday, February 4th. Lastly, Olga will be offering her Geometric Colorwork Hat workshop and Magical Brioche Cowl workshop on Saturday, February 17th.
Physical Therapist and knitter Carson Demers is returning to space to teach us all about taking care of our most important tools – our bodies! He’s offering 4 workshops, each focusing on a different aspect of caring for our hands and bodies. He will be teaching My Aching Hands (and Wrists!) and Swatchbuckling on Friday, January 12th. On Saturday, January 13th, he’ll be teaching KnitRx and Knitting Happily Ever After – Ergonomics for Knitters. All workshops are currently sold out, so give the shop a call to be placed on the waitlist if you’re interested.
Stephen West is returning to space for a brief visit in January. He’ll be offering his Shawl Design with WestKnits workshop on both Wednesday, January 17th and Thursday, January 18th. He’ll also stick around on the 18th for a Meet & Greet, Trunk Show and Book Signing. Registration for all three events will open in the coming days, so be on the lookout.
