Have you ordered a Cricket loom from us but need help getting started? Join us on Saturday, January 6th from 12pm-1pm for a free Build a Loom workshop to help you get set up. Be sure to bring the entire loom box and either a screwdriver or power drill.
Our dear friend Olga Buraya-Kefelian will be teaching a slew of workshops this winter here in space! If you’re interested in learning more about brioche, check out the Colorful Brioche workshop on Sunday, January 21st and the Brioche and Beyond (Armwarmers) workshop on Friday, January 26th. For the most unique shawl, try the Three Dimensional Shawl Workshop on Sunday, February 4th. Lastly, Olga will be offering her Geometric Colorwork Hat workshop and Magical Brioche Cowl workshop on Saturday, February 17th.
Physical Therapist and knitter Carson Demers is returning to space to teach us all about taking care of our most important tools – our bodies! He’s offering 4 workshops, each focusing on a different aspect of caring for our hands and bodies. He will be teaching My Aching Hands (and Wrists!) and Swatchbuckling on Friday, January 12th. On Saturday, January 13th, he’ll be teaching KnitRx and Knitting Happily Ever After – Ergonomics for Knitters. All workshops are currently sold out, so give the shop a call to be placed on the waitlist if you’re interested.
Stephen West is returning to space for a brief visit in January. He’ll be offering his Shawl Design with WestKnits workshop on both Wednesday, January 17th and Thursday, January 18th. He’ll also stick around on the 18th for a Meet & Greet, Trunk Show and Book Signing. All workshops are again sold out, but we are happy to put you on a waitlist.
Well-known designer Susan B. Anderson will be returning to space this February to teach three fantastic workshops. First up will be her Sheep! workshop on Friday, February 9th. She’ll be back on Saturday, February 10th to teach both her Fair Isle Fingeless Mitts workshop and her Three French Hens workshop. Registration will open in the coming days and please note that many of her workshops to have some homework.

Treat yourself to a new skill this winter with our Introduction to Knitting or Introduction to Crochet classes!
Learn to do mosaic colorwork in the Intro to Mosaics Cowl class starting on Sunday, January 7th. This technique utilizes slipped stitches to create the pattern, so you’re ever only working with one color at a time. $65.
Learn all the basics of bottom up sweater construction without the hassle of seaming in the Bottom Up Seamless Cardigan class starting on Sunday, January 7th. You’ll learn all about knitting set-in sleeves and inline pockets while creating a timeless cardigan that will be a staple in your closet. $80.
The Entrelac Scarf – Purling Backwards course is a great intro to the technique of purling backwards (sure to speed up your knitting) all while learning the unique art of entrelac. This course begins on Monday, January 8th and you have the option of knitting a scarf or wrap. $65.
The First Hat – Beanie or Slouch Hat class is a great second course after completing the Intro to Knitting Course and gives you the option of hat style that you prefer. This class begins on Tuesday, January 9th. $65.
Make a beautiful floral scarf while learning the basics of crocheting in the round and joining motifs as you go in the Crochet Motifs Scarf class starting on Tuesday, January 9th. $65.
Jump into the fun world of knitted cables in the Reversible Cabled Scarf class on Wednesday, January 10th. You’ll learn the basics of cabling while beginning a scarf that is truly reversible, perfect for the coldest of winter days. $40.

Winter has arrived, so stay warm with a pair of snuggly mittens. Learn how to work in the round using double points while mastering mitten shaping in the Introduction to Mittens course beginning on Thursday, January 11th. $80.
The Jimi Shawl class starting on Sunday, January 14th is a great beginner shawl class with the designer, Dee O’Keefe. Learn a variety of useful techniques, including increases, basic lace and striping. $65.
If you’ve been diving into the wild world of weaving but are unsure of how to finish your pieces to perfection, look no farther. The Finishing Techniques for Rigid Heddle Weaving class on Sunday, January 14th is the perfect introduction to how to professionally finish your woven pieces. $50.
