Our longest tenured employee will retire this week.  Trudy is leaving us to free up more time for travel and her family. She’s been with us for almost six years! Trudy has been an amazing member of this team, providing leadership to our newer staff members, historical memory of our events and workshops over the years and wonderful new ideas for visiting teachers and community events. She also helped me to interview and hire most of the team that we have had over the years. Trudy is also our only employee to now survive two shop moves! Yay! (Well, other than myself and Nemo).

For our customers, she has provided countless hours of lace repairs and fair isle color advice! She’s been our go to Spanish speaker. And she has an uncanny ability to sell pink yarn to virtually anyone.

Trudy’s last day is Saturday, so please stop in to say farewell to her (although I suspect that she will often make appearances during big events and in our lounge area).

She will be missed by this entire team, but we wish her well on her second retirement!
