We’ve begun plotting sweaters in space, looking forward to cooler weather to show off cardigans like the one we featured in yesterday’s Must Make Monday. As any of us will tell you, a sweater project always begins with a gauge swatch.
There are tons of tools to make checking your gauge easier; we’ve featured some of our square rulers before, measures that lay flay on your swatch for easy counting. This week, we’re looking at one of our new favorites, Ann Budd’s Handy Gauge. This clear ruler has been a fast go-to for us when checking swatches in the shop. A handy 9 inches long, the ruler has white and black stitches printed on the face. Simply lay the gauge on your swatch until the stitch markings line up with your swatch stitches for a fast and easy gauge check.
