Just because it’s summer doesn’t mean it’s time to put those needles down. In fact, it’s the perfect time to start filling your closet with new garments for the approaching cooling weather. Check out the Brooklyn Tweed Yokes collection to explore a variety of sweaters perfect for those fall days ahead. The entire trunk show will be in space until June 25th for you to try on and be inspired by.

We are so excited to begin our Wonder Woman KAL! The KAL runs from today, June 23rd to July 8th and uses everyone’s favorite: Lux Adorna Fun Bundles. Be sure to enter your finished shawl by July 8th to be eligible for one of two amazing prizes.

Join us for an opening ceremony kickoff party for the 2017 Tour de Fleece spinning event! We’ll be watching the beginning of the Tour de France on July 1st from 12-1:30 while spinning away on spindles and wheels alike. The entire tour runs until July 23rd and you are welcomed and encouraged to join our team, even if you cannot attend the party.
Join us for a summer of learning. We are offering a variety of workshops throughout the summer to help us improve our skillset. July will be focusing on crochet, with workshops in Tunisian Crochet (Parts 1 and 2), Arches cowl crochet lace and broomstick lace. August features a weekend with designer Ann Weaver. She’ll be offering her No-Sew Zipper workshop, Yipes Stripes workshop (sold out, but give us a call to get on the waitlist) and Fair Isle for All workshop.
Please join us for our Wool Immersion weekend from November 9-12th in historic Old Town Alexandria. Registration begins on June 30th for a variety of great workshops and events with designers Franklin Habit, Olga Buraya-Kefelian and Norah Gaughan. Pick and choose which events to attend or sign up for the entire weekend.

Treat yourself to a new skill this spring with our Introduction to Knitting or Introduction to Crochet classes!
Move beyond scarves and other flat projects with the Beanie Hat class on Sunday, June 25th. This is a great second class option that will get you well on your way to your first hat. $50.
The Entrelac Scarf – Purling Backwards course is a great intro to the technique of purling backwards (sure to speed up your knitting) all while learning the unique art of entrelac. This course begins on Saturday, July 8th and you have the option of knitting a scarf or wrap. $65.
Toe up socks are perfect for using up your entire skein. Learn this great technique by making a pair of thick worsted weight socks in the Beginner Socks from the Toe Up class starting on Saturday, July 8th. $80.
