One of my all time favorite yarns has returned to space: Hazel Knits Cadence. This lovely worsted weight yarn is made of 100% superwash merino, and it’s tight spin creates wonderful stitch definition. Combine that with Hazel Knits’ incredible color palate, and you have the perfect recipe for our project of the week: Spate by Jane Richmond. This pattern is part of the collection in JOURNEY: A Collaboration (which is currently in stock at the shop!). These fingerless gloves offer a stylish way to keep our hands cozy in these colder months, and the stitch pattern is perfect to show off lovely hand-dyed Cadence! These mitts will knit up fast, with everything but the largest size requiring only one skien of yarn. If you’re anything like me, constantly wanting stylish warmth on the go, these mitts will quickly become a favorite.

Spate is the perfect accompaniment for chilly winter days (layer them over your gloves) all the way into spring. Pair with your favorite down jacket or trench coat. Throw them in your purse or tuck them in your coat pockets for whenever it might be the least bit chilly.
