Just Landed! Capsule: Michele Wang for Brooklyn Tweed

Just Landed! Capsule: Michele Wang for Brooklyn Tweed

Brooklyn Tweed‘s Capsule collections each focus on the work of one independent designer, bringing their own unique vision to Brooklyn Tweed’s palette of all-American wool yarns.

The just-released second book in the series, Capsule: Michele Wang for Brooklyn Tweed, features new patterns by designer Michele Wang, whose classic cabled designs such as Rowe, Stonecutter, and Snoqualmie are already BT fan favorites. The book is $30.

When designing the collection, Michele considered the concept of what handknits mean to her – the embodiment of comfort, both for body and mind. From “quintessential loungewear centerpiece” Aspen and men’s companion design Radmere, to jauntily pom-pom bedecked Cleridae, each piece offers coziness and warmth. Shawl collars and cables abound in Shelter, Loft, and Quarry.

Each design is beautifully showcased with photography by Jared Flood, while the book’s techniques section guides you through the touches that make each piece extra special.

Michele says, “All of the designs in the collection were made with you, the knitter, in mind. I hope I’ve been able to create pieces that will become your old friends.”

Come in and pick up a copy for yourself! ($30.)

See Michele’s designs here at the shop when we host the trunk show February 4 – 12, and meet Michele in person at her book signing!
