Join us on Friday, September 23rd for the Short Beach Shawl Workshop with designer Kirsten Kapur from 11am-2pm, a Finger Puppet Bar with Mary Lou Egan (free!) from 3-5pm and Photographing Your Knits with Gale Zucker from 5-8pm. Also swing by the night before, September 22nd, for a book signing of the brand new Drop-Dead Easy Knits book by Kirsten Kapur and Mary Lou Egan, photographed by Gale Zucker.
Check out the brilliant colors of Neighborhood Fiber Co. during the Neighborhood Fiber Co. Trunk Show on October 1st from 10am-5pm. Karida will be unveiling a brand new base, multiple new colorways and even a new fibre space™ exclusive colorway!
Bristol Ivy will be joining us in early October for four fantastic workshops! All classes offer great information to take your knitting to the next level, regardless of what level you’re currently at. She’ll be offering Reading Your Knitting and Finish Techniques (great for sweater knitters!) on Friday, October 7th and her Blocking Workshop and Shawl Shapes Workshop on Saturday, October 8th. Slots are filling quickly, so be sure to sign up now to reserve your spot.
Classes
Treat yourself to a new skill this fall with our Introduction to Knitting or Introduction to Crochet classes!
The Entrelac Scarf – Purling Backwards course is a great intro to the technique of purling backwards (sure to speed up your knitting) all while learning the unique art of entrelac. This course begins on Saturday, September 17th and you have the option of knitting a scarf or wrap. $65.
Improve your lace skills with Intermediate Lace Shawl – Iolanthe class beginning on Tuesday, September 20th with designer Dee O’Keefe. $65.
Socks are a great portable project. Try your hand at knitting socks in the Top Down Socks Class. Class begins on Sunday, September 25th and you’ll be addicted to sock knitting before you know it! $80.
Learn the basics of top down raglan sweater construction through knitting a lacy cardigan. This cute sweater can be easily dressed up or down depending on the occasion and will fit nicely into any wardrobe. And the skills obtained during class will be applicable to an entire range of future projects. The Lace Yoke Top Down Cardigan class begins on Thursday, September 29th. $80.
If you know the basic crochet stitches but are ready to expand you skill set, check out our Crochet Cowl class starting on Thursday, September 29th. Create a cowl using the Granny Square Stitch that’s a fresh take on the traditional Granny Square. $40.
