Project of the Week: the Walt Chevron Baby Blanket

Project of the Week: the Walt Chevron Baby Blanket

We have a wonderful restock of Sweet Georgia Superwash Worsted, so I’m seeing a lot of you coming in to put together color combos for the Walt Chevron Baby Blanket (a free pattern on our website).  It’s a great project for baby gifting! The texture of the chevron stripes is fun for babies to feel and play. With four total colors, the pattern offers a lot of opportunity to play with color.

Sizing:

This finished blanket, as written, is 23″ x 35″. You can easily make it larger by casting on a multiple of 16 stitches plus 18.

Our yarn recommendation:

My sample used a few different yarns together, but was done mostly in Sweet Georgia Superwash Worsted. Each skein is 100% machine washable Merino Wool; approximately 200 yds/115 gram skein, $24. You will need two of the main color and one skein in each of three contrast (stripe) colors.

Some color combos for you:

Pumpkin, Summer Skin, Birch and Tumbled Stone:
