Mother’s Day Shopping Guide

Mother’s Day Shopping Guide

Mother’s Day is just around the corner on Sunday May 8th, and fibre space has great ideas for moms who stitch!

One of my favorite go-to gifts for stitchers are project bags. Whether you knit or crochet, we all need homes for our favorite projects. Two of my favorite such bags are currently in stock at the shop.

Binkwaffle totes in small and large (something for every size project!) come in lovely color options. The handle easily slides through the metal grommet. Bonus: each bag is reversible. $35-$55.

We also are lucky to have all four colors of the Spring 2016 Field Bag collection from Fringe Supply Co. –  if you don’t have one of these lovelies yet, I humbly recommend investing – it’s made of durable, washable canvas (your needles and scissors aren’t going to poke through!) and stands upright due to its sturdy, flat bottom. Each bag has pockets lining either side of the opening, leaving plenty of room for your notions and pattern along side your yarn. $65.

Another great gift for the stitchers is a yarn bowl frrom Pawley Studios – these hand-crafted ceramic bowls make an awesome (and useful!) accessory. This is often a gift a crafter won’t buy for themselves, but it’s really nice to have one! $38-$48.

For the shawl maker (or wearer!) in your life, we have a lovely selection of wooden shawl pins currently in stock. It makes a great addition to the wardrobe of anyone wearing hand-stitched items. $16

Lastly, something that is beautiful but also useful: a sterling silver stitch-fixer. Its the must-have accessory for stylish stitchers, and can be worn as a necklace while crafting. $50 (We have only ONE left!!)

In addition to these lovely suggestions, our Yarnistas are always available to help guide you towards a great gift. We also offer gift certificates because stitchers always need more yarn ;).
