Greetings from space! Here’s what’s been happening around the shop this week!
New Woolfolk has landed! There are three new colors in both TYND and FAR – two greens and a black. Woolfolk is also launching a new fingering weight yarn – SNO, available in five gorgeous colorways.
We also welcomed Shepherd’s Wool fingering weight to the shop this week. Each skein of fine wool carries 230 yards for $9.
A huge box of Miss Babs K2 landed this week. Each skein of chunky yarn comes with a hefty put up of 240 yards. Pick up one to make the Boshoku cowl or choose two of your favorites to make the Reimei cowl.
New notions and accessories arrived at the shop as well. We’ve got a new batch of the ever-popular Binkwaffle bags. This time out the patterns included Union Jacks and VW Buses.
New notions are in stock! Check out the needle sizers and other frippery from Retromantic.
The fall class schedule is rolling out! We’ve got a ton of great new and returning classes coming up in the next few months. Check out our full calendar here! In the meantime, here’s a sampling of what’s open in the next few weeks.
It’s always a good time to learn a new skill entirely. The next sessions of our introductory classes have seats available! Grab your spot in Introduction to Knitting, Introduction to Crochet, or Spinning 101!
Learn the basics of lace knitting with our Introduction to Lace – Lace Blanket on Wednesday, August 19 at 6 pm. ($50)
Move beyond crocheted rectangles with Crochet Lace Wrap beginning on Tuesday, August 25 at 7 pm. ($60)
Try your hand at short rows and a provisional cast on with Short Row Cowl starting Tuesday, September 8 at 7 pm. ($80)
So many great workshops are coming up. We’ve got two workshops with Olga Buraya-Kefelian coming up later this month. Join us for the Asanagi Wrap on August 16 and 30 ($80) or the Colorwork Shawl on August 22 ($75).
Looking ahead to September, we’ve got Cooperative Press Trunk Show with Shannon Okey on the 2nd, the annual Miss Babs Trunk Show on the 12th and 13th, and Sequence Knitting workshops on the 17th and 18th. Check out our calendar for a full listing of events!
Who’s looking forward to fall knitting? Did someone say sweaters? We’re still trying to get WIPs off our needles (join us in the shop for Finish Your Knits every Sunday in August!), but it’s starting to feel like fall might not be forever and a day away. Come in and check out the collection of new fall publications that have been filling our racks. We’ve got copies of Interweave, Knitscene, Crochetscene and more for your inspiration!
