Mini Mitts for Tiny Human

Mini Mitts for Tiny Human

IMG_4336

When my daughter’s preschool suggested a thinner mitten so that she could better explore the outside world, I went on a search at big box stores for something thin…with no luck. So I grabbed some sock yarn scraps and knocked out these little things!

Materials

  • Sock yarns scraps  (fingering or sport weight)
  • US#3 (3.25 mm) double pointed needles or prefer method for working in the round
  • stitch marker

Gauge

On fingering weight: 29 sts and 48 rows

On sport weight: 28 sts and 44 rows

Finished size

12-18 months: To fit 4″ wrist and hand of 4.5″ (around the knuckles)

Sportweight yarn will produce mittens slightly more loose fitting.
