Fall 2014 Trends: Cables

Fall 2014 Trends: Cables

The theme for sweaters this fall is chunky, textured, and cabled. This resurgence is bringing new life to the classic Aran sweater. Aran sweaters take their name from a set of islands off the west coast of Ireland, where these sweaters were made and commonly worn by both fishermen and farmers alike. The sweaters are filled with traditional patterns that are often symbolic in nature. Today, this classic appears in the form of a  cabled sweater made out of a lofty yarn with great stitch definition. The runways for Fall 2014 were filled with modern updates to this wardrobe staple.

Michael Kors offered a plethora of cabled sweaters and textured accessories for men & women alike.
