When you knit something that is potentially a choking hazard, you are really admitting that the only reason for the hand knit is for photography. While I suspect that a lot of the baby stuff we knit is for this sole purpose anyway, this particular project really can only be for that. It is the Kate Oates Chunky Striped Stocking Prop Hat. I used the Rock Creek Park colorway of Beltway Bulky. The texture in this yarn makes this hat really stand out in photography. Any of the skeins of handspun from Molly Miller would also be awesome for this project. I had a hard time choosing a yarn!

And so here is Madeline in her “prop” hat…which she will never ever wear again!
