A Flavorful Event

Olio

Olio Tasting Room‘s “About” page begins as follows: “Oils and vinegars are like fine wines…” Well, then it makes perfect sense for Olio to team up with Le Tastevin, a specialty wine shop, for a one-of-a-kind private tasting. Indeed, the similarities between the two are abundant. Both have a wide selection of product, ranging in price and diversity, for any budget and mood. At both places, you can pick up something for everyday use or splurge on something unique for a special occasion. The stores themselves are even similar in their simple design–letting the product speak for itself. The level of knowledge and expertise of both stores’ staff is remarkable as they have answered any question I’ve thrown at them despite my relative ignorance in both areas. I have long been a fan of both.

Tastevin

On March 20, from 7:30-9:30 PM, the two local favorites will host a tasting of olive oils and wines along with a selection of fruit and cheese. Calling it their Spring Fling event, Penny (Olio’s owner) and Bryan (Le Tastevin’s resident wine expert) will be on hand to walk you through each tasting, bringing it to life and within reach. For only $20 per ticket, this special event is one you really shouldn’t miss.

You can purchase your ticket by calling Olio at 703.299.3004 or by emailing the store at info@oliotastingroom.com.
