- US#7 double pointed needles; and 16″ US#7 for larger sizes, if you do not wish to work in dpns for entire project

Break yarn and work 1 round knit with MC.
Continue in 1×1 ribbing for 1.5″ with MC
Change to stockinette st and work 2 (5,5,6) rows

Continue in MC and stockinette st until piece measures 4.5 (4.5, 5, 6) inches.

Knit 2 rounds
*K7(8, 10, 12) K2tog, repeat from * around
Knit 2 rounds
*K6 (7, 9, 11) K2tog, repeat from * around
Knit 2 rounds
*K5 (6, 8, 10) K2tog, repeat from * around
Knit 2 rounds
*K4 (5, 7, 9) K2tog, repeat from * around
Work rows 1-3 of Chevron Chart
Break MC then continue decreasing with CC:
*K3(4, 6, 8) K2tog, repeat from * around
*K2 (3, 5, 7) K2tog, repeat from * around
Continue to work decrease round every 3 rd round as established until only 6 sts remain.
Break yarn and pull through remaining stitches.
Weave in tails and block.
