We have been receiving so many wonderful new yarns the past few weeks, that I am starting to lose space to put it all! The latest arrivals are really quite exciting. The second half of our DyeForYarn order has arrived: Merino/Silk Fingering. This stuff is rather amazing. The deep rich colors of DyeforYarn reminds me of Wollmeise. This base is a tightly twisted blend of 75% superwash merino and 25% silk in a fingering weight. Each skein is 437 yards and $34. I am already eyeing up this color (Bat Biting the Dust) to make a cardigan. I am actually thinking that the Reine pattern from the latest Wool People would be a nice fit. I am in love with the simple and stunning details on this and think that the silk sheen in this yarn would really help show them off.
Dragonfly Fibers has sent us a wonderful order of Squishy Lace. This yarn is 870 yards of 100% merino. It is light and fluffy! We already told you about the newest Ann Weaver pattern. I am also a big fan of the Geodesic Cardigan by Connie Chang Chinchio. It is available online but is also part of the Best of Knitscene book.
Last but not least, we now have the new colors of Spud and Chloe Sweater and Outer! In Sweater there is Life Jacket, Billiard, and Tiny Dancer:
In Outer there is Rhino, Buoy, Sugar Plum, and Fearless.
We also got in some new patterns from Spud and Chloe including one by our friend Ann Weaver!
