It definitely pays to have friends who have friends at Alchemy. Aimee hooked me up with the silken straw that I needed, which Gina recently got finished dyeing. The woman still dyes all of her own yarns!! I do have two extra hanks of Mica if anyone is interested…I can now officially start on my “Purity” pattern [Rav link] for the wedding…which gives me about 6 weeks to get the thing done. Yikes. I am also finishing up this scarf for a friend who threw me a bachelorette party on Friday night. If you noticed my absence from the book launch on Saturday, it may have been due to the alcohol consumption on Friday night. I firmly believe that woman are supposed to be married in their early 20s because that is really the last time that we can handle partying all night at a bachelorette party.
I have decided that I have too much going on right now and need a strong workplan for this wedding stuff. I need a list of everything that isn’t done yet. If you can think of a random thing that I am possibly forgetting (like hiring a photographer!!), please let me know. I am certain that something super important has been left aside. I am headed to the shop now to pick up the Rowan 43 book with my pattern in it and then to the waterfront with the dogs to get some knitting done and enjoy this gorgeous day before locking myself in the house to do laundry and pay bills and balance the Knit-a-Gogo books. I need an assistant (or a housekeeper)! I swear that by the time I get done with the laundry, there is just as much dirty sitting back upstairs in the bedroom. Oh, I am sad to say that I visited our local Target on Route 1 today and did not see the book. Boo on you local Route 1 Target!
