So I finally got the shipment of Pints and Purls [Ravelry link] for the Entrelac for Earth Day workshop that is in two weeks. And it was so exciting to see my name and design (and photo!!) in a book! Can you believe it?! I am in a book…and it isn’t the Guiness Book of World Records for “most cups of coffee consumed in a day” or something even more embarrassing like “most disfunctional family members.” Oh, and the book is being sold at Target. yup, that’s right, next time you go to target to get cute cards and wrapping paper and toothpaste, stop by the book section and see me. This project (Linden) was so much fun to design. I love entrelac, as most of you know. It is a great type A project. Little neat and orderly pieces done one at a time and put into an interlocking wrap. Love it! The yarn for it was Organik by the Fibre Company. If you do get the book and want to do this one on your own, the yarn is available from Nature’s Yarns and Knit Happens. If you want to learn with me, there is a class!
Here is the cover of the book:
AND, you should join me tomorrow night (Saturday) for a book signing at 5pm. Two other Knit-a-Gogo teachers will be there, as they are also in this book: Karida Collins (author) and Kathleen Lawton (contributor). We will be at A Tangled Skein in Hyattsville, MD. This is the first opportunity to get a signed copy of the book. Refreshments will be provided!
