This month’s Third Thursday will be extra fun and extra special. I am working with the owner of Del Merei Grille off Mt. Vernon Avenue for an amazing fundraiser to benefit the National MS Society. If you haven’t met the owner of Del Merei, she is a fellow young entrepreneur who grew up in Alexandria, VA and comes from a family of small business owners in our area. Mary was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis two years ago and every year, she raises thousands of dollars to benefit the National Capital Chapter of the National MS Society, which helps support those affected by MS by funding powerful research and providing programs and services that help people with MS and their families move their lives forward.
On April 16th at 6 p.m., we will meet at Mary’s restaurant, Del Merei (map) to help raise money for MS and enjoy some fine food and drink! Oh, and we will be knitting, of course!
Bring your knitting project, a $20 donation and an appetite. Appetizers will be provided to all of us. Cash bar will also be available.
