Spring slouch anyone?

Spring slouch anyone?

One of my very helpful students brought this lace beret [Ravelry link] hat to my attention as a potential spring class. I whipped it up this week and it is fab! I made the less slouchy version of it and it is still quite slouchy but I do love it. I need to block the lace, obviously. The project uses worsted weight yarn so it works up quickly. The lace is an 8 row repeat. It would be a great way to try out lace, decreases and increases and the magic loop method of working in the round. (which means no double points!)

What do you folks think about this as a spring class? Thinking two weeks out to do it, unless everyone comes to class with the ribbing done…then it could be a three hour class.
