Olga, my dear Olga, was published in the latest issue of Interweave Knits! If you haven’t met Olga yet, she is one of my fine teachers and she is an amazing knit-wear designer. Isn’t this just gorgeous?! We are pondering using it for a Spring class…it involves short rows, increasing and decreasing, the figure eight cast on and SEWING. That last part scares the hell out of me, but Olga doesn’t seem to think that it is scary at all. Really, sewing? ick…I don’t sew.
In sewing news, I bought my wedding dress this morning! I bought it from Elegance Fashion Boutique. It is owned by a local designer, Roya Hashimi. She makes incredible dresses and is reworking mine just for me. So exciting! Before you ask, no I won’t post photos! It has a very vintage look to it and is made from one of a kind tulle from Dubai that she personally purchased at a fabric show. It is so much more than I every expected to get but it is amazing.
