On the plate

On the plate

I am working on finishing up a new pattern for the baby beanie hat. The one  on the site now isn’t as good as I want it to be and I think that it needs matching mini mitts for the baby. The new pattern should be ready soon and I will post photos of the beanie hat and the adorable matching mitts.

I am also trying to finish up my flip top mittens because its cold outside!!!

And I started designing a sweater for Phil. I actually started it during the Glam Knits retreat with Stefanie Japel a few months ago but thought I would pick it up again. It is going to have a celtic cable down the sleeve, similar to the Durrow pattern, but with some major modifications. It is in stockinette stitch instead of ribbing. The cable is taken from a scarf pattern that I saw on Ravelry and it has a crew neck. He wanted a hoodie with the hand warmer pocket on the front but I don’t think that I have enough yarn. And really, that sounds more like a sweatshirt than a sweater!

Promise lots of finished object photos soon. Now back to work!
