Wendy is at it again

Wendy is at it again

I am quickly becoming a Wendy Bernard addict. Her blog, Knit and Tonic, has been linked from my Community page for quite some time, but I recently realized that I have been knitting her patterns (unknowingly) through Stitch Diva. In total, I have knitted the Labyrinth (a class this fall semester), Sahara (twice!), Something red (shown left), Dream Swatch Head Wrap, and Essential Stripe. Her Flair pattern is also a class with Kathleen this fall semester.

Then! I was at our Knitalong last month and someone brought her new book Custom Knits and it is AMAZING. Not only are there different styles of sweaters (set in sleeves, yoke, raglan) but she gives detailed instructions and photos on how to modify the patterns to make them more your “style.” I love it! Cameronne got the last copy from Barnes & Nobles but I don’t have time for new projects anyway so it was probably a good thing. Saves me from myself.

In other news…I am headed back to the burgh this weekend with friends to show them around town. (super exciting vacation spot, I know). I will be checking email but won’t be blogging…
