To Do this weekend

To Do this weekend

The Exploration of Lace Retreat is now full but don’t despair, there is something else going on in the knitting world on March 30th:

If you haven’t heard, a group of amazing hand dyers, spinners and other knit-entrepreneurs are hosting an amazing event this weekend in Takoma Park, MD: 7500 Maple Avenue (metro and parking accessible) – the Homespun Yarn Party. Knit-a-Gogo is a proud sponsor of the event! Focused on local talent, this event is a great opportunity to shop, knit, meet people and drool over some amazing fiber. Let me give you an idea of what you will find there: this first photo is from Dragon Fly fiber designs.

The wild and wonderful Mama E will be bringing her fabulous colors to the party. Having met and shared a few beers with Erin, I can assure you that her colors and

fibers come pretty close to matching her vibrant and amazing personality!

The amazing yarn creations below come from Insubordiknit who I have not met but I can’t wait to get a hold of some of her fiber! I see a funky 8 foot scarf in my future made from one of these:

Wow, there are some seriously talented women in this area, so go support them this weekend. I am really really sad that I will miss this, but you should all go and let me know what you buy, who you meet and how amazing it was!
