We’ve all fallen head-over-heels in love with the beautiful color blending of Spincycle’s yarn, and are pleased to say that two new bases have arrived! All of Spincycle’s yarns are dyed in the wool, meaning that the fiber is dyed before being spun to allow for an awesome barber pole appearance and are entirely American made from sheep to skein, making them even more special.
Knit Fast, Die Young
First off, this yarn has what is possibly the best name ever! Secondly, this super bulky yarn whips up incredibly fast into impressive items when you need something a little more dramatic. Every colorway is a unique blend of colors that always work together in unexpectedly beautiful ways. This big and lofty yarn is millspun and yet hand plied, adding that extra human element.

Independence
Independence takes American made to entirely another level. She sheep are raised in the Midwest and their fiber is dyed and spun along the rugged coast of Washington state. The Spinsters behind Spincycle, Kate and Rachel, even go as far as ensuring the tags are made of American milled paper. Unlike the other bases from Spincycle that we carry, this one is a singles yarn rather than being plied. There’s a slight thick-and-thin texture to it, adding just enough life to the yarn. The colors transition slowly but still maintain the unique color sense Spincycle is known for. For endless color options, Independence pairs well with Manos del Uruguay Maxima since they are very similar in composition and construction.
