Many of you remember Sarah, who worked here at the shop and was also our doula for Maddie’s birth (she actually cut the cord!) Sarah moved off to Texas and has been cooking (literally) some yarny goodness. Sarah launched Blue Highway Hand Dyes – whose fibres are all US grown and milled and dyed with natural dyes. I am so excited to have some of her new yarns in the shop!
TexRanch Lace
TexRanch is 48% superfine merino / 52% kid mohair, raised in Texas and milled in Pennsylvania. Each skein is 610 yards and $30. They are dyed in seasonal colors, which aren’t likely to be repeated.

A Note From Sarah of Blue Highway Hand Dyes
Blue Highway values and colorways are inspired by the sights, sounds, relationships and clarity of mind I’ve found along back roads, shortcuts and long ways home.
All of our fiber is grown and milled within the United States, and I’m working on sourcing even closer to home, and being a part of building up my local fibershed. Natural dye extracts are sourced seasonably and sustainably from the world at large; raw dye materials are grown with care in TX or carefully gathered along the road (or in the kitchen!) by me.
