September means back to school, back to work, and for many of us, back to picking up our stitching after a summer off!

Join us for our Fall “Back to Basics” stitch along as we ask ourselves important questions like “What patterns are in for Fall?” “Why is it still so hot out?” and even, “Do I even remember how to do this?”

We’re jump-starting the Fall stitching season with simple knit or crochet projects to complete by October 15—choose your own pattern or head to the Captain’s Log on our website for our recommendations!

Get 100 loyalty points when you buy materials for the Stitch Along. Just let our yarnistas know when you check out, or add a note to your online purchase!

We’ve got a Ravelry forum set up for our community. Here you can post updates, offer fellow stitchers encouragement, and ask for advice…not to mention show off your FOs! Joining Ravelry is free—and it’s a site that’s been run by actual humans since 2007.

Prefer social media? We’re still there, too! If you want us to see your posts, be sure your profile is public, and follow & tag us, plus add the hashtags #fsbacktobasics26 and #fibrespaceFO for visibility.

Local meet-ups: Join us in person on Thursday nights for Stitch in Space or at our second Sunday Cosmic Craft Nite gathering for queer stitchers—craft and connect, or get help with your project at our Help Desk!
Did you know we offer free ball winding in space? We’re happy to wind your yarn on our ball winders behind the counter if you purchased it from us, or you can wind any of your own yarn on the provided winder and swift upstairs, and we would be happy to show you how to use them if you need assistance. If you order from our capsule collection, simply let us know in the notes that you would like your order wound before shipping. (Keep in mind that all yarn that is wound cannot be returned).
Join us on October 9 & 10 for a special weekend of workshops & a book signing with Estonian knitwear designer & illustrator @aleksbyrd! As an ambassador for Estonian knitting, Aleks shares her knowledge of little-known traditional knitting techniques with a fresh twist in her popular workshops.

Get an introduction to traditional Estonian knitting, learn to manage colorwork floats with ladderback jacquard, tackle scary steeks in style, and pick up your very own signed copy of Aleks' gorgeous book Kindred Knits: Patterns from My Estonian Family Archive.

Join us for a weekend of knitting fun & learning! Spaces are limited so grab your spot now!
