Laine Magazine Issue 30 Autumn 2026

Laine 30, Layers, features a beautiful collection of knits to wrap yourself in as the weather starts to cool. The collection includes lovely textures, delicate lace, plump cables, as well as stunning colorwork. The photos were taken in a rustic, historical mill setting, where layers of past decades were beautifully present — evoking a sense of nostalgia and longing. The crisp sunlight added a beautiful finishing touch to the photos.

We also meet the Australian farmer Tom Dennis, whose family developed the Polwarth sheep six generations ago, visit the Yarn over Berlin yarn store, and get style inspiration from Ling Wang (@merci.coucou). Our Five Ways article provides inspiring tips that will help when you find yourself in a knitting slump!

Issue 30, Autumn 2026 Includes:

  • 164 pages.
  • 15 knitting patterns: 8 sweaters, 2 cardigans, 2 slipovers/vests, 2 shawls, 1 hat.
  • An interview with the Australian farmer Tom Dennis, whose family developed the Polwarth sheep six generations ago.
  • The Favourites section with inspiring little stories, tips, products, reviews and ideas! We visit the Yarn over Berlin yarn store and get style inspiration from Ling Wang (@merci.coucou).
  • The Five Ways article, where we have gathered some inspiring tips that will help when you find yourself in a knitting slump.
  • The second part of the article series Wool & Wellbeing, where Suvi Ala-Venna (@kudelmiani) designs knitwear inspired by mental wellbeing and mental health challenges.
  • Jeanette Sloan’s (@jeanettesloan) column, where she ponders how to fill her creative void when knitting is not an option.
