Spun from cotton cellulose, ISPIE®️ Raffia is a durable, breathable, and natural rayon fibre. It’s soft but sturdy texture makes it suitable for a wide range of projects.

We have some words of wisdom on working with raffia from designer Olga:
“This silky soft raffia yarn is produced out of 100% biodegradable plant cellulose fiber (rayon). It is FSC-certified forest-friendly raw material. This unique raffia is not paper; it is much stronger and smoother to handle while still producing a textured look for your project. When using Raffia from a roll, such as these, it is advised that you wind it off the roll and pre-steam it prior to use. This will allow the strand to open up and help you achieve the most satisfying fabric for your knit and crochet projects – hats, bags, baskets, jewelry, or toys!
