Spincycle Yarns Dyed in the Wool
Designed to mimic the look and feel of a handspun yarn, Dyed in the Wool is a 2-ply yarn that spins together separate color-shifting strands for a unique play with color. The superwash wool blend used for Dyed In The Wool consists of Rambouillet, Targhee, and Merino breeds, raised primarily in South Dakota and Wyoming. It’s then processed in South Carolina and spun into yarn at the Spincycle mill in Bellingham, Washington, going from sheep to skein entirely in the USA.
Yarn details:
- 100% superwash American wool
- Sport weight
- 200 yards per 100-gram skein
- 20-32 stitches over 4” on a US #2-7 (2.75-4.5 mm) needle or hook
- Handwash, lay flat to dry

Dyed in the Wool is a yarn that embraces its artisanal roots! It will often vary somewhat in thickness throughout the ball and skeins are not dyed to match exactly, adding unique texture and dimension to projects. The hand is smooth and soft, playing well with other yarns or shining on its own.
